The main character, Christine Daae, is stuck between the love of three people: her father, Vicomte De Changy (Raoul),
and The Phantom. Her father died when Christine was young and her father promised her the Angel of Music would visit her someday.
Raoul is a romantic young fellow who had a childhood romance with Christine. The Phantom is the Angel of Music that controls
Christine and makes her go in to a trance whenever he sings.
